Managing Director

Jack founded Queenswood off the back of over a decade of leading teams in some of the highest profile projects in British construction. Not satisfied with how firms were engaging with local stakeholders and the public, he sought to explore up how infrastructure could make as many people as possible happy.

Bringing his in-depth knowledge and practical insight, Jack’s vision has helped Queenswood become a leading force in stakeholder engagement and consultation.

Glenn Tobin

Operations Director

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Glenn oversees and develops community and stakeholder engagement strategies for high profile and sometimes contentious infrastructure projects. His experience at both planning and delivery stages of projects gives him a keen understanding of what could impact construction – whether it’s round the corner or years down the line.

Glenn’s impressive portfolio includes TfL’s Cycle Superhighways rollout, Crossrail 2, Crossrail, High Speed 2, and Heathrow Airports expansion team on their proposals for a third runway. He also previously served as an Officer in the Metropolitan Police service where he focused heavily on Community Policing.

David Eve

Development Director & Chairman

David’s career as a chartered civil engineer and qualified project manager make his decades of experience invaluable to Queenswood. As our Development Director and Chair of the board, he is responsible for marketing and developing the business as well as its staff.

David’s commitment to Queenswood’s people means he’s passionate about deepening everyone’s understanding of modern design and construction techniques for largescale, complex infrastructure.

Pat Kelly

Director

Patrick is our Project Director currently working across HS2 Phase 1. Delivering industry-leading engagement on major infrastructure projects, and building upon his former career as a highly decorated Sergeant in the Metropolitan Police, Patrick has over 20 years’ experience in liaison with community groups, local authorities, businesses, consenting bodies and members of Parliament, building trust and managing community and stakeholder expectations throughout periods of change and uncertainty. Despite years of conflict and de-escalation management, Pat finds his 10-year-old daughter his most obstinate challenge!

Strengths: Leadership, Professionalism, Empathy

Personal interests: Country Music (yes, fully aware it’s sad!); Good red wine; Ferrying his two kids to and from an abundance of sporting pursuits

Conor Loughney

Consultant

As a former Headteacher, Conor’s commitment to developing himself and those around him make him an invaluable consultant at Queenswood. He places importance on designing and promoting professional development opportunities to keep skills around the business at their highest level.

Conor’s currently working with Thames Water on their Strategic Resource Options.

Cher Snudden

Senior Consultant

Cher’s journey to Queenswood has been focused on engaging, supporting, and enabling stakeholders to ensure their voice is heard and they have the best experience and outcome available. From initially starting as a local Community Activist, her drive for equality and fairness has led her to positively working with charities, local authorities, and major infrastructure projects.

With over 20 years’ experience working within communities as well as on projects, she has invaluable awareness and insight into the voluntary and corporate worlds. Cher takes this experience to promote cohesion and understanding.

Katy Davis

Senior Consultant

Katy has worked within the construction industry for 20 years, and currently works as an Engagement Specialist for HS2 phase 1. Her ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and relate to all stakeholders at all levels, puts her in a position where she can powerfully calm and influence situations that lead to obtaining the desired outcome. Her construction experience proves invaluable when liaising with site teams as her previous roles include Plant and Logistics Manager in reputable companies. Growing up with 5 brothers and 3 sisters has put Katy in good stead when tackling conflict, people management and accountability.

Strengths: a great listener, optimistic and cheery demeanour

Personal interests: keeping fit, music concerts and good food

Joe Pollard

Senior Consultant

Joseph Pollard is a multifaceted professional with significant contributions in education, security risk consultancy, and land acquisition. For ten years, he pioneered innovations in secondary education, elevating learning standards and fostering student curiosity. Transitioning into security risk consultancy, Joseph became a key asset in safeguarding major infrastructure projects, proving his adept problem-solving abilities. However, it is in land acquisition where Joseph truly shines. Navigating complex logistics and legalities, he masterfully strikes a balance between development needs and environmental preservation, propelling sustainable development.

Strengths: strong communication, problem-solving, perseverance, and versatility

Personal interests: travel, outdoor activities, lifelong learning, community engagement, fine arts, and maintaining fitness

Eleanor Paton

Senior Consultant

Eleanor brought her experience in stakeholder management to Queenswood in 2022 and began managing a project on behalf of Kier Construction on the HS2 project, delivering specialist ecology surveys.

Due to her commitment to making sure everyone gets fair representation if a project concerns them, Eleanor has transformed the way we engage with future candidates, developing opportunities for groups not previously reached by traditional means.

Previously to this, she served as a Police Sergeant, where she specialised in Hostage/Crisis negotiation. She dealt with incidents ranging from suicide intervention to kidnaps, developing strategy and informing future tactics, so you can easily see why we’re proud to have her on the team.

Ruth Curtis

Consultant

Ruth’s strong organisational and communication skills, along with her experience in logistics management, make her an invaluable asset when it comes to stakeholder engagement. Her hard working and friendly manner make her as popular with clients as she is with others in the team.

As our engagement expert for highway construction projects, Ruth has worked on too many National Highways schemes to count. But, since you asked, they include the M25, J25, M2 J5, and M621 J1-7.

Ruth also has engagement experience on TfL highways improvement schemes, working as dedicated Public Liaison Officer on the busy Old Street Roundabout station and highway upgrade. She’s also helping create and deliver engagement for TfL’s Silvertown Tunnel project.

Clodagh Steel

Consultant

Currently an Engagement Officer currently working on HS2 Phase 1, Clodagh previously worked in media and then later supporting a small data company.

As one of nine siblings, Clodagh honed her communication skills and open-minded attitude from a young age. She builds strong and solid relationships on a foundation of great conversation, trust, and connection on a human level.

Raj Soni

Consultant

Raj is a Community Engagement Officer currently working on HS2 Madeville Road Ventilation Shaft and Headhouse in Ealing. He has a diverse career background ranging from training to be a solicitor, teaching English, working in property, working as a compliance consultant in fintech and acting! Raj is currently studying a part time foundation self-development course providing a depth of personal exploration, developing a therapeutic lens and counselling skills to navigating relationships and inner experience. He finds this is helping him work with the local community in listening and building trust.

Strengths: Empathy, Deep listening, Personable.

Personal interests: Theatre, Socialising, Meditation.

Naomi Evans

Consultant

With over five years of combined work in the Police and Ambulance Service, Naomi knows the importance of dealing with people in a calm, professional, and empathetic way. The communication skills and dynamic adaptability she’s honed over her career have made her an important pillar of the Queenswood team.

Naomi is currently an Engagement Manager working on HS2 in London.

Raj Phillips

Consultant

Raj recently joined the Queenswood family and started his journey on the Phase 2a of the HS2 project, delivering stakeholder and community engagement, specialising in the compulsory purchase of land acquisition process and project management for Balfour Beatty.Acting as a conduit between landowners, agricultural officers, rural estate agents and the contractor, he strives to ensure compliance and transparency throughout the process and drives forward the project ensuring the needs and expectations of all parties are met.Having spent 30 years as a nationwide Detective, Raj dealt with a number of high-profile cases as well as all aspects Major Serious and organised crime. Raj has all the communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and project management competencies required to fulfil his role within the team.

Hannah Root

Consultant

Hannah is an Engagement Officer currently working on the HS2 project out of West Ruislip. Previously to joining Queenswood, Hannah worked on the front line in Ambulance Service and as a mental health worker with teenagers. It was these roles where she learnt how important it is to understand the way we communicate and how to adapt to different peoples needs in a calm and caring manner, Traits she has since found very useful in Engagement.

Siobhan Steel

Assistant Consultant

Siobhan doesn’t just talk the talk when it comes to her commitment to local people; she’s walked the walk. When she worked in the Metropolitan Police, specialising in local Neighbourhood & Community Policing, she needed to build strong working relationships with local communities.

We’re delighted to have her skills at Queenswood, where Siobhan uses her people-oriented approach on high-profile infrastructure projects. Since joining the team, she’s helped deliver engagement on a number of Transport for London highway improvement schemes including Highbury Corner roundabout & Dalston Junction.
